Job description:Digital Communications Coordinator – ( 250001K3 )DescriptionReporting to the Digital Communications Team Lead, the Coordinator is a passionate, creative, and analytical professional. Working with a high-performing team of communications professionals who are focused on evolving our digital function, our goal is to reach the hearts and minds of our employees with communication experiences that shift behaviors to support and drive long-term business strategy.Our digital ecosystem plays an important part in employee engagement. We ensure our global community have access to timely, high-quality resources and the information they need to be successful at Stantec. The DCSI supports the ongoing evolution of our corporate intranet in alignment with the governance model and supports internal email tracking software. The coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the intranet that serves our global population, including publishing content across the intranet platform. They will also be involved in producing data and analytics to create narrative that supports decision making. This role also supports the broader work of Stantec’s Employee Communications team and will have a critical role in driving employee engagement across our digital channels.The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, independent self-starter, understands the importance of a global intranet, has a flair for data and analytics, and comfortable working cross-functionally and with all levels of seniority within an organization.Your Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain day-to-day operations of the intranet, publishing and updating content in alignment with information architecture and governance practicesWork closely with our Employee Communications team as well as corporate functional service teams and technology teams
Support digital communications channels to build and maintain the different methods of information distribution across StantecProduce analytics for reporting to guide and support application of tactics, strategies, and communication campaigns across the intranet and digital channelsServe as a member of the larger intranet team for intranet-related queries and support requestsDocument feedback and suggestionsDocument and maintain information architecture including taxonomy, translations, and site navigationMaintain consistency and support content accuracy and quality through maintenance of content governance standards and practicesSupport process documentationUnderstand Microsoft 365 products, particularly SharePoint, to support the organization and potential integrationsManage common administrative tasks in the intranet softwareEstablish a strong understanding of target audiences and maintain and apply audiences in published contentKeep abreast of trends and advancements in digital and social media marketing as well as emerging technologies and applicationsQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsCreative, strategic thinkerDetail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skillsStrong project management skillsProven ability to learn new technologyFundamental understanding of the digital communication landscapeComfortable with data gathering and report generationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft 365Experience with information management framework preferredExperience with content management systems (CMS) preferredExperience with Unily preferredAbility to collaborate effectively with creative professionals (writers, graphic designers, videographers) in a team environment, as well as to work autonomouslyEducation/ExperiencePost-secondary degree in communications, public relations, marketing, information management, or library studies or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.2 years of experience is preferred in content marketing, internal communications, or intranet and content managementThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other’s talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.
