As a member of this collaborative team, you can expect a safe, diverse and inclusive environment, and on-going learning and career development opportunities.About the roleReporting to the Communications Director, the Digital Communications Advisor is responsible for the delivery of communications planning and tactics in support of the overall communication strategy. The incumbent contributes to and ensures Graham’s communications standards and brand standards are adhered to consistently across various digital channels. Staying close to the business, the advisor uses strong relationship management and planning skills to determine and oversee the execution of annual and initiative plans, specifically related to Graham’s intranet and digital communications tools.As a Digital Communications Advisor at Graham you will:
- In consultation with key stakeholders, responsible for the overall communications technology strategy. The primary focus is on the daily maintenance and content management of the intranet platform, including governance, site architecture, data analytics, and facilitation of the set-up of pages and communities.
- Manage and evolve the intranet:
- Create intuitive and engaging user experience by ensuring content and site design are relevant, up-to-date and easy to navigate
- Work with an external vendor to implement future phases of our intranet
- Deeply understand Graham’s audience segments for the creation and maintenance of distribution lists to target content across various channels
- Work with the Data Analytics team to enhance our digital metrics
- Track and analyze digital engagement metrics and use insights to guide strategy and improve content performance
- Identify areas to increase value, mitigate issues and collaborate with IT/EA to bring solutions for internal communications team
- Represent Communications on the intranet Change Advisory Committee (quarterly meetings)
- Support the broader Communications strategy through employing and managing digital channels (SparrowConnected, Teams, SharePoint pages, Viva Engage and other systems/tools to be determined).
- Support initiatives by providing communications expertise in digital tools and provide recommendations, where required.
- Develop and facilitate training for digital communications channels and support content owners as required.
- Help to identify emerging opportunities for internal communications and digital channels as well as challenges that require proactive communication.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across corporate and operational teams as well as external vendors.
- When required, support and backfill for internal communications advisors.
- Advise leaders in the organization on internal and external communication initiatives.
Qualifications/Experience
- University degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism is required.
- 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in a medium to large organization (1000+ employee base).
- Experience with internal and external communications, communications planning and implementation, and project management.
- Ability to apply analytical tools and interpret data.
- Strong technical skills across multiple communication platforms, such as SharePoint, MS Teams, Viva Engage, and intranet platforms.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills and close attention to detail.
- Experience with geographically diverse organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
