Salary Range: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-native infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimise a variety of frameworks that power our platform’s performance and reliability.Your expertise will drive the automation and integration of complex processes, enabling us to deliver faster, more secure solutions to our clients. We’ve taken significant strides towards establishing a global presence and now have team members across the US and India, all working collaboratively to be the market-leading underwriting software platform for agile insurers.What You’ll Be Doing as a DevOps Engineer

  • Design and Implementation of AWS resources based on new and existing requirements to support the hosting of send technology applications and internal tools.
  • Support the delivery of application changes, ensuring an automation first approach to all areas of work where possible.
  • Work in a structured manner in line with policy/guidelines and more closely with Technical Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Team Leaders as the project dictates.
  • Ensure that operational systems are designed, developed and fully supported in line with policies, standards and procedures.
  • Review and contribute on a regular basis to the ongoing improvement of team practices and approaches with a view to making the team more effective and improving the DevOps functionality within send

The Skills and Experience Needed for the DevOps Engineer Role

  • Experience working with SaaS hosting platforms is desirable, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Experience of using Terraform to manage cloud-based resources.
  • Experience of working with AWS cloud technologies.
  • Experience of deploying and managing containerised applications in ECS and Kubernetes (EKS) and Lambda.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tooling, preferably experience with Jenkins.
  • Enjoys looking for ways of improving process’ through automation and ensuring value is added as a result.
  • Experience of bash and groovy scripting (Desirable).
  • Excellent planning, organising and time management skills.
  • Professional and results oriented approach.
  • Self-motivated and driven attitude to work combined with an ability to meet deadlines.
