If you have a strong mechanical background in diesel engines, fault diagnosis and repair we want to hear from you!Depot Service Engineer, Erith DA8 2AN – Generators and CompressorsMonday to Friday – 8.00-17:00 – 42.5 hours per weekSpeedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job!We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who is commutable to the south east London area.Offering you stability, a great benefits package and the opportunity to significantly increase your earnings through overtime we are leading the way in the industry.You be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our generators ranging from 20 – 1400 kva and a number of these machines are fitted with telematics and are fully syncable using Comap or Depp sea panels.Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned service maintenance and repair of compressors and generators ranging from 20 – 1400 kva
• Fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs and diagnosing mechanical failures
• Service, fault find and carry out breakdown repairs
• Comply with companies Health and Safety policy

What you’ll need:

• Full driving licence
• Good knowledge of diesel engines
• Mechanically you will be experienced in fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs and diagnosing mechanical failures
• Experience of maintaining and repairing the same or similar types of equipment
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to hours as there is consistent overtime
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
