About The Role

 

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Architect to join our Data Engineering Team within the Data Science and Engineering Centre of Expertise at Kerry Group. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing data solutions to satisfy the data needs of all functions across Kerry.

 

The ideal candidate understands data and is passionate about learning new technologies. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail) and enjoy working in a fast-paced team that will support the Kerry business achieve its strategic growth targets.

 

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective design of our data products. You will be able to easily understand the different type of systems that Kerry use and how the data contained therein can be modelled to maximise the value of in the solutions that you design. Performance will be at the forefront of everything that you do to ensure that the final solutions meet the users’ expectations.

 

 

Kerry operates a Hybrid working policy, candidates will be required to work from our offices in Naas each week.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes at Kerry and use a customer-centric approach to design data solutions to improve and support these processes.
• Develop expertise in enterprise data domains, including data relationships, data quality, understanding of business data needs, and associated technology toolsets and methodologies.
• Understand business requirements and ensure that data is organized in a way that facilitates enterprise grade solutions, self-service reporting and analysis and any other solutions that require usage of our enterprise datasets.
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts as they relate to data architecture and knowledge of data security protocols and best practices.
• Consistently strive to provide performant and scalability design, measurement, and optimisation for the data platform, reducing redundancy and ensuring a single version of the truth.
• Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders across the business, Digital Services, and the Data Science & Engineering teams, and becoming the focal point for data related topics.

Qualifications & Skills

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in the area of Data Science, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience in designing complex data solutions with diverse data sources.
• Exposure to data hungry global organisations, with diverse teams, global IT projects.
• Experience using modern data platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake or similar.
• Cross functional experience including but not limited to finance, supply chain, commercial, & HR.
• Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align data initiatives with business objectives.
