Position Title: Data and Gifts Processing Associate
Location: Remote (USA)
Salary: $52,000 – $60,000
Status: Full-time, salaried, exempt
Reports to: Donor Services Manager

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR MISSION:
- Process donations in a timely manner to maintain records accuracy, donor confidentiality, and ensure compliance, in service of effective relationship management and fundraising efforts.
- Contribute to database upkeep through data entry and hygiene projects and tasks, like new record creation, data entry, and clean-up projects to ensure the database houses up-to-date and informative information.
- Support Philanthropy & Marketing department by responding to all donor inquiries and requests via phone and email, including requests for information changes, monthly donation changes, updates to subscription preferences, and receipt or other documentation requests, as well as internal requests made by our Fundraising and Marketing teams.
- Collaborate within the team and across the department to build, help maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures in service of data hygiene, streamlined gift processing and data entry processes, and transparency across work.
- Lead monthly reconciliation processes in collaboration with Finance, elevating issues identified across records when significant discrepancies arise.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE HOPING YOU’LL HAVE:
- Experience working with a CRM within a fundraising non-profit organization. This will require you to have a process-oriented and methodical approach, with the ability to meticulously follow detailed workflows. You should possess strong organizational skills, capable of managing workload and recurring tasks with little to no supervision. This also requires you to have the ability to handle donations efficiently, ensuring timely processing and accurate record updates while prioritizing urgent tasks. Additionally, a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of donor information is essential.
- A strong technical proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Sheets and MS Excel, with expertise of advanced features such as pivot tables. You should also have the ability to accurately and consistently input and manage data in the CRM, with excellent attention to detail to ensure high data quality and integrity.
- A highly collaborative approach and experience in supporting both internal and external stakeholders. This will require you to have previous experience collaborating with accounting and finance teams and have a basic understanding of financial reporting. You should be able to proactively assess processes to ensure the team and department are operating efficiently and can establish, document, and disseminate standard operating procedures. We also hope you have experience in customer service or similar roles responding to inquiries via both email and phone to respond to donor inquiries and requests.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Rainforest Trust is a remote first organization and the incumbent will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection, though part-time office space may be available in Warrenton, VA and/or Washington DC. Occasional national and/or international travel may be required for organizational meetings and other events.

ANTICIPATED SALARY
The salary range for this position is $52,000- $60,000 commensurate with experience. This base compensation range represents the anticipated low and high range of wages for this position. Salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
