We have a fabulous opportunity for a Cyber Security Consultant to join our expanding Cyber Security Team in the UK with a focus on implementing the NCSC Network and Information Security Cyber Assessment Framework (NISCAF) across our Customers business.

 

The Opportunity…

 

You will be joining our Customers Cyber Security & Resilience team on a 12 month fixed term contract. We are passionate about protecting our data, systems and business assets to provide confidence, business continuity and assurance to our customers and regulators.

 

As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will be an effective communicator and be responsible for the positive engagement with our stakeholders to lead the way in implementing the NISCAF across our Customers business.

What you’ll be doing

 

You will be in a high performing team focused on maintaining Cyber Security and Resilience in the Customers business and will report to the Cyber Essentials and Network and Information Systems Regulation Lead with second line reporting to the Compliance Manager.

 

The Cyber Security Consultant will:

• Assist the Cyber Essentials and Network and Information Systems Regulation Lead with facilitating our Cyber Essentials BAU activities.
• Conduct Network and Information Systems Cyber Assessment Framework (NIS CAF) assessments against our critical assets.
• Deliver a consolidated plan for Network and Information Systems Regulation compliance.
• Drive through remediation activities with our technical, policy, cyber services and people teams.
• Liaise with supply chain to ensure all security compliance requirements are understood and maintained.
• Deliver and report on the status of cyber audit requirements, with a primary focus on the NIS CAF and Cyber Essentials.

 

Who you are

 

It’s not just the technical competencies that are important to be successful in this role, the way you carry it out and the behaviours you demonstrate are equally important.

 

This includes:

             

• A motivated, well organised and engaging personality.
• Background in security governance of a large organisation including security audits/assessments, reporting, and defining and implementing improvement roadmaps.
• Experience of implementing and managing security and regulatory frameworks with a specific focus on the Network and Information Systems Regulation, Cyber Essentials Plus or ISO27001.
• An understanding of IT infrastructure, architecture, and information security in hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence, security tools & technologies within a large & complex environment including vulnerability scanning, anti-malware / EDR, SIEM, DLP, etc.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
