The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring a polite, prompt, and efficient response while maintaining clear and accurate records. You’ll play a key role in resolving customer queries, escalating where necessary, and supporting product improvement through user acceptance testing.Key Responsibilities:Respond to customer queries via email, phone, and live chat in a timely and professional mannerRecord and manage queries in the company’s call management system, ensuring each is resolved or escalated appropriatelyAssist customers in achieving resolution to their requests or issuesParticipate in software user acceptance testing and provide valuable feedbackPromote and comply with company policies, including Quality, Environmental, and Health & SafetyEnsure your work aligns with the Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional ConductFoster an inclusive environment, supporting SGS UK’s Equality & Diversity policySkills and Experience Required:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused approachAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with customer service software/systems (advantageous)Experience in a customer-facing role preferredHigh attention to detail and organisational skillsQualificationsEnglish Language and Mathematics GCSE Level or equivalent (grades A* to C)DesirableTrade-related qualification (e.g.: UK Customs Academy/BCC/BIFA)Recognised trade-related membership (e.g.: Institute of Export)Additional InformationAt SGS, we believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and commitment.
