Role and Responsibilities:

Maintenance.

• Using critical environment protocols MOP process with employees, vendors and contractors working onsite.
• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
• Proficient maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and CRAC units associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.
• Study and become familiar with critical environments with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This is to include building automation systems, fire/ life safety systems, and any other building related equipment.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to BNSF’s (MCS) Mission Critical Statements, Technical Bulletins, established engineering guidelines, processes, and procedures.
• Review all MOP and MCS paperwork and complete documentation in Smartsheet and present at our bi-weekly approval meeting with the client.

Safety.

• Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
• Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled
• Must participate in our Good Catch/ Near Miss program.

Administrative.

• Complete timecard approvals for all critical engineers who report to this position.
• Complete and post weekly work schedule for critical engineers.
• Manage team vacation schedule and coverage.
• Complete year end annual employee reviews process.
• Have quarterly review with critical engineers to review goals assigned.
• Manage the BNSF critical environments qualification program.
• Manage the JLL, JCAP compliance program.
• Update/create work orders in the Corrigo work order system.
• Utilize Corrigo for all work performed to include timecard management and approvals.
• Escalating problems or issues to Operations Manager in a timely manner.
• Attend work and safety meetings as required.
• Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Physical work requirements and work conditions.

• Ability to lift 80 lbs.
• Working from heights.
• Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
• Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
• Climbing a ladder with a 300 lbs. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing 20 lbs.
• Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.
• Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.

Desired experience and technical skills.

Required:

• 5-7 years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
• Experience working in Data Centers/Raised Floor Environment
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Universal EPA Certification
• Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
• 2 years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills

Preferred:

• BA/BS degree in related field.
• Expertise in one specific craft area: Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations, Water- and Air-Cooled Chiller Operations.
• Familiarity with building automation systems, power management systems and fire/life safety.

Work Schedule.

Monday Through Friday 7AM to 3PM with overtime and other assigned shifts as needed.

We are a 24X7X365 facility with 3 shifts of operation.

On-site –Fort Worth, TX
