The Controller reports directly to the Head, Finance and School Operations. Within the Operations team, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including but not limited to overseeing monthly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, invoicing and other day-to-day accounting operations.Through the lens of our current strategic commitments, the Controller has a pivotal role in:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related education and a Canadian CPA designation is required for the role.
- A strong understanding of financial operations is essential, including the Canadian NFP accounting standards.
- Long-range financial planning, aligned with strategic priorities, is vital for sustainability.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring regulatory compliance are key responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills are important.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive community and dismantling inequitable systems is important in the Montcrest School context.
- Experience in the Canadian not-for-profit/education sector is highly desirable.
