Job summaryJoin us in providing exceptional mental health care as a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry within Hampshire’s Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT). We are hiring for two unique posts:

• Gosport War Memorial, Hewat Centre: Lead mental health services for adults within the Gosport area, working closely with a diverse team to manage complex cases, deliver patient-centred care, and support community mental health.
• Parkway Centre, Havant: Oversee care for adults in the Havant and Waterlooville areas, collaborating with an experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic, recovery-focused support and drive service improvement.

Both roles offer 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) weekly, including a mix of direct clinical care and professional development. These posts are ideal for consultants passionate about integrated care, looking to impact local communities. Key duties for each post include:Gosport War Memorial, Hewat Centre:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment planning for adults with complex mental health needs.
• Oversee care delivery as the Responsible Clinician, ensuring patient-centred and recovery-focused interventions.
• Mentor and support junior doctors and allied health professionals, fostering team development and best practices.

Parkway Centre, Havant:

• Lead psychiatric care within the community, focusing on integrated, holistic support for adult patients.
• Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service outcomes and patient experience.
• Work collaboratively with team members to manage risk, provide clinical oversight, and support professional growth.

• Full Registration with the General Medical Council
• MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
• Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 12 months of CCT at time of interview. CCT in general adult psychiatry.
