Starting Salary Range: The starting salary range for this position will be in the $55,300-$56,959 range, depending on experience, education, and skills relevant to the position. Please note that the indicated starting salary range describes the range for an incumbent in this position. Most new staff generally start at the beginning of the range percentile to ensure internal salary equity.
Location: Old Fort, NC and Partially Remote Eligible.
Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Program Summary:
jobshiringnearme.org Corps North Carolina (CCNC) empowers youth and young adults through meaningful outdoor work that benefits North Carolina’s land and water and fosters healthy communities. A program of jobshiringnearme.org Legacy, CCNC partners with public land managers and community organizers across the state to engage motivated individuals – typically ages 15-30 – in challenging and impactful conservation service projects. These projects may include trail construction and maintenance, habitat restoration, hazard fuel reduction, invasive species removal, and other technical conservation work. CCNC crews and individual placements gain hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to positively impact North Carolina’s natural resources and communities. CCNC has program offices in both Durham and Old Fort and supports project work statewide with partners including the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, AmeriCorps, NC State Parks, NC Wildlife Resources Commission, local governments, community organizations, and nonprofits.
Position Summary:
The CCNC Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the execution and overall quality of all programming and operations run out of individual CCNC offices. The PM is responsible for supervision and mentorship of any field and/or program staff of the office(s) they oversee. The PM delegates operational tasks to their team, serves as the local lead for program-wide communication and collaboration, ensures safe workplace standards in the office and the field, and maintains timely and effective relationship management with all collaborators and partners. The PM will be responsible for project reporting as delegated by the directors.
The position is approximately 60% office-based and 40% field-based, with field visits that may include overnight stays. A strong and consistent in-person office presence will be required from the PM. The PM may occasionally work remotely in case of emergency or as approved by then Program Director, but the majority of the position is intended to be in-person.
