If so, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and creative Communications professional to join its UK Communications team.This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive AWS’s communications strategy in the UK, and shape compelling narratives that showcase AWS’s innovation and impact across the country. You will develop and execute comprehensive and creative PR programs, craft and place engaging content and manage complex communications challenges with high-judgement. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is extensive experience working with media and influencers in the UK.This position is based in London, UK and will require periodic travel.Key job responsibilities

  • Create and deliver proactive, creative, and integrated PR programs and strategies
  • Nurture and manage relationships with trade, business, national, and regional media (print, online, and broadcast), non-traditional influencers, and opinion formers
  • Handle complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high judgement
  • Craft compelling content, messaging, and communications plans
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with customers and partners
  • Lead PR programs for AWS-owned and industry events
  • Manage PR agencies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– Experience in professional communications or public relations
– Strong media relationships with top-tier business, technology, national and regional press.
– Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively convey complex topicsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Bachelor’s degree
– PR experience in the technology industry
– Strategic thinking combined with strong attention to detail
– Experience thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
– Proven track record of placing stories proactively with media
– Strong knowledge of the UK media and political landscape
– Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with multiple teams and senior leaders
– Experience managing complex projects under tight deadlines
