The RoleWe’re looking for an exceptional copywriter and communications professional to lead our external positioning across all channels. As Communications and Content Lead, you’ll shape and maintain a unified, credible and impactful narrative that resonates with diverse audiences.Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Director, Campaigns Lead and other key stakeholders, you’ll take ownership of crafting compelling content that strengthens our brand and supports business objectives. From writing press releases and incident communication responses to ghost-writing thought leadership pieces, campaign messaging, and client communications; you’ll adapt seamlessly to varied writing styles and purposes.This role demands outstanding writing skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to engage audiences across multiple formats and channels. You’ll also play a pivotal role in aligning content strategy, supporting media engagement and ensuring all communication is aligned with our external narrative.If you’re a creative, versatile writer with a strategic mindset and a passion for storytelling, this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesExternal Communications
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director, Marketing team and Customer Experience teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all external communications.
- Work with Campaign Leads and subject matter experts to craft impactful communications that enhance the company’s reputation and strengthen its brand image among customers and stakeholders.
- Develop thought leadership content, including whitepapers, articles and blog posts, to position the company as an industry leader.
- Manage the company’s social media channels, creating content that highlights achievements, products and expertise.
- Ensure alignment of messaging and communication efforts in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
- Work with Internal Communications to coordinate shared activities.
Narrative Ownership
- Own and maintain the company’s external narrative and tone of voice, ensuring credibility, consistency and trust across all communications channels.
- Shape messaging for a range of scenarios, from thought leadership to incident management, positioning the company as a trusted leader in the market.
Reputation Management
- Work with key stakeholders to oversee reputation management efforts, including the development of client-facing communications and sensitive responses to client issues.
- Support the Marketing and Communications Director to implement communication strategies during incidents, to mitigate risks, build trust and maintain positive brand perception.
Strategic Communications Across Paid, Owned and Earned Channels
- Curate content for owned platforms, supporting eminence programmes for executives and subject matter experts, creating authority and increased following and engagement.
- Maximise the value of earned media (e.g., LinkedIn, media outlets, industry bodies), ensuring impactful exposure and credibility.
- Support the campaign activation by ensuring advertising and positioning aligns with the overall narrative.
Collaboration with Campaigns
- Partner with the Campaign Lead to ensure the professional execution of thought leadership content, blogs and campaign materials.
- Ensure all campaign content aligns with the company’s tone of voice and values, maximising its impact across channels.
Client Communication Strategy
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive client communication programme in partnership with Client Care teams.
- Utilise a range of communication methods (emails, newsletters, alerts, etc.) to deepen engagement, enhance loyalty, support retention and identify opportunities for growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a communications role, ideally within a B2B environment, with a strong track record of delivering impactful external messaging.
- Ability to craft clear, concise and compelling content tailored to various audiences and channels, while consistently applying the stakeholder’s tone of voice.
- This role will work across UK&I and BeNe, so strong English language skills are essential, with Dutch language proficiency being highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and social media management platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships across all levels of the organisation and influence key stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture and align communications to broader business objectives.
- Strong attention to detail, with a meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy and quality in all outputs.
- Adaptable and comfortable switching between different writing styles and formats, including press releases, incident communications, campaign messaging and thought leadership content.
