The Role:The Compensation Analyst is accountable for ensuring that all Commercial Staff and those on Variable Compensation Plans are compensated accurately and promptly according to those plans. To provide customer service by accurately answering questions and/or resolving compensation inquiries.Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of compensation for all Commercial Staff and those on Variable Compensation Plans accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain all applicable systems that support the administration of compensation plans.
  • Prepare Commissions Reports for Finance to facilitate pay cycles.
  • Process compensation adjustments when required by the business.
  • Conduct Compensation Audits to ensure accuracy within the system and ensure commissions are generated according to plans.
  • Review, and if necessary, correct errors on daily error reports and/or unprocessed activities prior to commission deadlines.
  • Respond to and ensure efficient & accurate resolution to inquiries pertaining to compensation issues.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Post-secondary degree in business administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a B2B organization, ideally in a Compensation or Sales Administrator role.
  • Working with sensitive data and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel for preparing commission reports and conducting detailed audits.
  • Able to work independently with keen organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience working with Salesforce and/or other Compensation Tools is a considerable asset.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure and time constraints to meet various deadlines while maintaining a keen attention to details.
  • Respond to constantly changing needs and schedules and to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Decisive with good judgment/decision-making skills to act effectively in resolving compensation issues.
  • Requires well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
