Collections Specialist | HYBRID Role

A local credit union that has been serving the Colorado market for 50+ years is looking to add a
Collections Specialist
to their close-knit team! You will be responsible for reviewing accounts, determining reasons for delinquencies, and working with members to resolve outstanding balances.

Collections Specialist Job Duties:

  • Contact members via phone, email, and written communication to resolve overdue balances, with a focus on overdrafts and delinquent accounts
  • Process inbound calls and assist members with inquiries about their account
  • Work with members to establish repayment agreements for overdue amounts
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold a professional reputation in all interactions with members
  • Assist with training new staff through mirroring techniques and sharing knowledge

Collections Specialist Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of collections experience, preferably with a full-service financial institution
  • Knowledge of collection procedures and related laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of deposit programs, account ownership, casualty insurance, and Credit Union loan products is helpful but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage members effectively

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Hybrid – 2 days remote)

Pay:
$25/hr
