We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Collections Analyst I in Toronto, Ontario. This role is crucial to ensuring the conversion of accounts receivable portfolio into cash, thereby improving our cash flow. This position will be responsible for interacting with our end-user customers to facilitate payments for our products and services, contributing to the company’s growth and investment potential.Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to ensure timely payment for products and services
• Manage an individual accounts receivable portfolio of significant value
• Maintain excellent customer relationships to manage diverse customer interactions
• Deliver accuracy while managing deadlines in a fast-growing/fast-paced environment
• Use strong communication and negotiation skills to handle collections processes
• Employ Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for documentation and data management
• Undertake research and billing functions as needed
• Handle invoice and payment processing tasks efficiently
• Use project management skills to streamline collection processes
• Adhere to company policy in all tasks and interactions
• Coordinate with suppliers as needed.
• Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to manage client relationships.
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• Proven experience in Sales, demonstrating the ability to negotiate terms and close deals.
• Ability to manage Documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Experience in Training, equipping team members with necessary skills and knowledge.
• Ability to handle Invoices and Payment Processing efficiently, ensuring timely payments.
• Strong Research skills to investigate and resolve any discrepancies in accounts.
• Understanding of Billing Functions and Cash Activity, to maintain accurate financial records.
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, managing and tracking payments received.
• Proven Project Management skills, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Knowledge of the ‘About Time’ software, or similar project management tools.
• Understanding of Finance principles and Pricing strategies, to ensure company profitability.
• Familiarity with Hiring Processes, demonstrating the ability to identify and recruit top talent.
• Understanding of Collection Processes, to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments.
• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
• Knowledge of Credit management, to assess and manage risk.
• Strong Negotiation skills, to secure favorable terms with clients and suppliers.
• Familiarity with Suppliers, managing relationships and ensuring timely delivery of goods/services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, for administrative and reporting tasks.
• Understanding of Company Policy, to ensure all activities are compliant.
• Ability to manage Funds, ensuring efficient allocation and use of resources.
