I feel welcome and at home.”Pay RangeCommensurate with Experience.Grounded in our commitment to Client and Family Centred Care the key foci on the RN, Clinical Lead role is to provide clinical leadership, advice, consultation, and mentorship to service providers pertaining to professional practice as defined by the regulatory bodies, quality institutions, and VHA’s Best Practice Unit.We are seeking: Full-time Clinical Lead (RN) for the Central East region. (Durham & Scarborough). This is a role that involves maintaining a clinical caseload, along with clinical lead responsibilities.When providing services, the Clinical Lead enhances department and organization reputation by reflecting VHA’s vision, mission and core beliefs of services as well as promoting and maintaining good public relations with clients, caregivers, partners, and VHA staff and associates.Key Areas of AccountabilityVHA’s Clinical Leads are required to do the following tasks, but not limited to:Provide clinical leadership, advice, consultation, coaching and mentorshipAct as resource in the implementation and interpretation of discipline-specific professional standards of practiceIn collaboration with the Supervisor(s), Regional Director(s), and other CLs, recommend and/or provides orientation and/or education/training to meet professional/organizational/accreditation or legislative requirementsMaintain a clinical caseloadParticipate in the development and implementation of the orientation process for new hires as part the CL teamAct as a support and resource with respect to Organizational and Strategic InitiativesSupport the Supervisor(s), Regional Director(s), and other organizational stakeholders in strategic, departmental, and operational initiatives to achieve targeted goalsSupport and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, best practices, program evaluation and researchIn partnership with Manager Research & Evaluation, determine interest and ability to participate in research opportunities availableCollaborate with inter-professional teams to promote safety and risk reductionPlan, implement, and evaluate processes to prevent/eliminate hazards in collaboration with the Supervisors and the Regional DirectorsApply theoretical knowledge to the assessment, interpretation, planning and intervention of clients/needsRequired Qualifications:A Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioRN diploma/degree from a recognized college or universityAware of relevant legislation related to practice standards, quality and safety issues and human rights standardsEffective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, both written and verballyExpertise in facilitating learning and providing feedback in a peer support modelAbility to work independently and as a member of a collaborative teamLeadership skills and team building skills.Excellent planning and organizational skillsProgressive thinking, creative problem solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to work effectively with little or no supervision and self-manage in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous work environmentAbility to exercise innovation and initiative and to integrate changeDemonstrated ability to achieve organizational deliverables and performance targetsMust have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and must be prepared to drive.What makes VHA’s compensation unique?Benefits and pension plan for permanent eligible employeesCompensation for education and professional developmentVHA is a leading learning organization so we can provide you with comprehensive orientation and training at the start and throughout your careerMentorship and peer supportCareer development opportunitiesEmployee and family assistance programWellness resourcesPerks & discountsStaff & service provider eventsAccommodation and VHA’s commitment to DEIAt VHA Home HealthCare (VHA), we passionately strive to uphold our commitments to being an Equal Opportunity Employer.
