Job description

We are currently hiring a full-time Cleaner for Driftwood Mall in Comox, BC. The ideal candidate will ensure the building’s common areas are consistently clean, sanitized, and welcoming for all mall visitors.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Litter pick-up around the building exteriorEmpty and spot-clean all waste receptaclesWipe down and disinfect light switches and door handlesClean entrance glass doors (both sides); remove smudges and marksPolish kick plates, push plates, and thresholdsVacuum all carpeted areas, including walk-off matsWipe clean tables and chairs; remove traysOperate gas-powered leaf blowerReplace garbage bags and dispose of waste/recyclables in designated binsMaintain a clean and organized janitor’s room; restock suppliesReport any plumbing issues to the managerOrder new cleaning supplies when necessaryQualifications & Requirements:Experience operating a gas leaf blower or willingness to learn

Prior cleaning experience is an assetReliable with strong time management skillsGood communicator with effective verbal and written EnglishSelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionAdditional Details:Position: Full-Time Cleaner – Driftwood MallPay: $22.50 / hourExperience: 2 years of cleaning experience (preferred)Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PMLocation: Comox, BCIf you are dependable, detail-oriented, and looking for a long-term opportunity, we’d love to hear from you!
