Overview

Con Edison, a multibillion-dollar energy utility, is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. We are investing hundreds of millions of dollars annually to increase adoption of energy efficiency and clean electrified heating technologies, integrate distributed resources into our electric and gas systems, and support electric vehicle charging infrastructure across our customers. Over the next 5 years, we plan to invest over $600 million to incentivize customers to adopt clean, electrified heating technologies, like air-source and ground-source heat pumps.

The Building Electrification Integration Manager will lead efforts to improve customer experience and accelerate service upgrades for these customers. Specifically, the Building Electrification Integration Manager will:

(1) ensure all customers (from single-family homes to large commercial buildings) receive a service-capacity site assessment before participating in the Companys incentive programs, and

(2) facilitate and accelerate any electrical service upgrades required to enable heat pumps.

They will accomplish this by building relationships with a broad range of teams across the Company; identifying and proposing process improvements to reduce timelines from customer project initiation to completion; leading implementation of change initiatives by partnering with Electric Operations, Engineering, and Construction teams; and establishing actionable reporting metrics to track progress. The right candidate will be skilled at building relationships with diverse stakeholders, managing and analyzing data, communicating a vision, and motivating change.

This is a great role to learn about the clean energy transition and is at the interface between traditional utility processes and a changing energy landscape.
