- Preparation and cooking of food items in accordance with the menu and presentation standards of The Boat Inn.
- Ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Effectively managing kitchen operations, including stock management, preparation of ingredients, and ensuring timely service.
- Training and supervising junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Assisting the Head Chef in menu development and maintaining the highest quality of food production.
- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your work area and kitchen equipment.
- Contributing to the overall team spirit and morale in the kitchen.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of different cooking techniques.
- In-depth understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations in a kitchen environment.
- Experience in restaurant operations and the ability to work under pressure during busy service times.
- Ability to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with colleagues.
Desired Experience:Minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen setting.Salary & Benefits:Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 annuallyThe successful candidate will benefit from working in a vibrant kitchen with opportunities for career growth and development.
