Certified Medical Assistant – Pittsburgh, PA (Oakland 15213) – Direct Hire/Full BenefitsJoin our large, respected healthcare system as a Certified Medical Assistant! We are a major provider of medical services and coverage, operating hospitals, outpatient clinics, and an insurance plan to serve our community.Pay: $19.00 per hour, up to $23.00 per hour for well-qualified applicants based on experience and educationSchedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm (could also be 4 – 10-hour shifts per week 7 am – 5:30 pm)In this full-time, permanent Certified Medical Assistant role, you will play a vital part in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care. Your key responsibilities will include:– Assisting physicians and nurses with examinations, treatments, and procedures (phlebotomy, EKGs, level one labs)
– Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and handling patient inquiries
– Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and stocking supplies
– Collecting and processing patient specimens
– Providing exceptional customer service to patients and their familiesTo be successful in this role, you will need:– High School Diploma or equivalent is required– Current Certified Medical Assistant certification is required – Preference is for Pennsylvania certification, but may consider from other states
– 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting-Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in three practice category specific tasks.

– Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Proficiency in medical terminology and health administration
