We’re hiring talented individuals to join our team as School Caretakers!Due to high demand, a set of Schools based in Flash Lane Rufford, Ormskirk, L40 1SN. We are looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our team and help maintain a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment.As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the school premises. Your role will be vital in ensuring that our facilities are safe, clean, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.Job Title: Caretaker

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and grounds.
• Ensure that all areas are safe, secure, and free from hazards.
• Manage basic repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and general handyman duties.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Assist with the set-up and take-down of school events and activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in a care taking or maintenance role is desirable.
• Practical skills in general maintenance and repair work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.

Requirements:

• An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
