Building Maintenance

Do you have 2-3 years of preventative maintenance work in an industrial setting?

This iconic candy company located in Tacoma that cooks up an exciting team-based atmosphere has a Building Maintenance opening on their team. This is a full-time position and is a great opportunity to join a company with a rich history behind their brand.

The work you’ll do is exciting and challenging, and you’ll play a direct role in ensuring the safety and quality of their chocolate products.

Building Maintenance Job Duties:

• Conduct regular inspections of building systems, equipment and facilities to identify issues or needed repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on machines and building infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair issues or needed repairs.
• Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and safety regulations.
• Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Complying with health and safety regulations.

Requirements for the
Building Maintenance
 role:

• Knowledge of lite carpentry, lighting maintenance, plumbing (restrooms, drains, filters), painting and flooring repairs
• Knowledge of utility equipment systems a plus.
• Familiarity with good manufacturing practices and food safety standards
• Intermediate Math skills and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. – co-lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Able to work in a hot environment.
• Mechatronics aptitude preferred.

Additional Responsibilities for the
Building Maintenance
 
role:

• Maintain a clean and hazard free work area.
• Communicate with team members & supervisors.
• Troubleshoot & maintain machine systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

• Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
