Here’s what it takes to make yours count.
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- 3+ years of experience in an HSE, safety, or compliance role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards
- Demonstrated experience managing workers’ compensation claims
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage health, safety, and environmental (EHS) programs in compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to reduce workplace incidents.
- Maintain safety policies, OSHA logs, compliance documentation, and audit readiness.
- Serve as primary owner of all workers’ compensation claims, including injury reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and return-to-work (RTW) coordination.
- Partner with Human Resources and Operations on light-duty assignments, claim updates, and injury trend analysis.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation and bilingual (English/Spanish) training.
- Promote a strong safety culture focused on employee engagement and continuous improvement.
- Provide oversight and daily guidance to the Safety Assistant.
- Manage PPE programs, chemical safety, SDS documentation, environmental compliance, and vendor relationships.
- Analyze safety metrics and provide leadership with data-driven safety recommendations.
