What We Are Looking For
We are interested in your skills, experience, and interests rather than a particular set of qualifications. We recognize that people develop relevant abilities through many paths, including lived experience, community involvement, and nontraditional careers. As part of the application, applicants are asked to reflect on and self-evaluate their skills in several areas to help us understand where you feel confident and where you hope to grow.
Optional Professional Development and Free Housing Opportunity

As an optional opportunity, the successful candidate may choose to work alongside the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service staff at the Refuge, supporting refuge-related education and/or stewardship work.
In exchange, the employee would be eligible for free housing and utilities at a residence located at William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge. This option offers a unique professional development and learning opportunity for someone interested in environmental education, public lands, and conservation careers.
