Salary: From £27,000 per year + tips + benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: 10–12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays (flexible schedule required)
Transport: Own transport essential due to rural locationAbout the RoleA rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bar Manager to lead the bar operations at Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa, a prestigious 4 Red Star luxury hotel in the heart of Northamptonshire. With an exceptional food and beverage offering—featuring a 3 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant, 2 Rosette Brasserie, stunning wedding and event spaces, and The Great Hall Bar—this is a role for an ambitious and service-focused individual looking to make their mark in a high-profile setting.You’ll oversee the full operation of our bar outlets, including the future development of our hidden gem: The Cellar Bar, while working alongside a passionate F&B leadership team to ensure world-class standards, innovation, and guest experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire the bar team across all outlets including weddings, events, and daily serviceOversee full bar operations including cocktails, wines, spirits, cellar management, and supplier relationshipsMaintain exceptional service standards, ensuring a memorable experience for every guestDevelop innovative drinks menus and stay ahead of trends in cocktails, wine, and mixologyHandle stock control, ordering, wastage management, and cleanliness standardsPlay a hands-on role during service, leading by example and coaching the teamCollaborate with senior F&B management to support wider business goalsDrive team development, training, and morale through positive leadershipWho We’re Looking ForProven experience in a premium, high-volume bar or hotel environment, ideally with banqueting and wedding experienceA strong passion for service, cocktails, wines, and hospitality innovationConfident leading a team in a fast-paced, guest-facing roleHigh level of personal presentation and communication skillsCalm, hands-on leadership style with a proactive, ‘nothing is too much’ attitudeExcellent multitasking, time management, and organisational abilitiesMust have own transport due to rural locationWhat We OfferCompetitive salary starting from £27,000 per year, plus tipsFree meals on duty50% staff discount on food and drink, plus spa discounts (also valid at our sister hotel)Training & development support, including free WSET certification (Wine & Spirits)Team recognition and incentives – including Employee of the Month & Year, service charge shareFree on-site parkingA chance to be part of one of Northamptonshire’s most prestigious hospitality venuesIf you’re a hospitality professional with a passion for quality service and guest experience, and you’re looking for a role where you can lead with creativity and confidence, we’d love to hear from you.To apply, please send your CV and a brief introduction outlining your experience and interest in the role.
