Honorarium PositionAre you passionate about community impact and youth advocacy? As Co-Chair of the Bags of Promise Committee, you’ll be leading meaningful change at Queen’s University alongside a dedicated team of student leaders. This role empowers you to address youth homelessness by providing dignity through action, replacing trash bags with thoughtfully prepared Bags of Promise. Join us in creating a tangible difference both on campus and across Canada.Applications will be available until April 27th, 2025 5:00pm EST.Expected Time Commitment and Remuneration12-month term from May 1st, 2025 to April 30th, 2026 with a time commitment of 5 hours/weekIf this position is subject to an honorarium, payouts will be in accordance with the Human Resources Honoraria Policy Grid 9.05.02 which can be accessed here:Please see Part 3: Hiring in the HR Policy Manual for in-depth eligibility criteria for the position pertaining to academic standing, work-study positions, exchange status, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate weekly committee meetings to ensure smooth planning and execution.
• Collaborate with your Co-Chair and committee to design and implement impactful events and initiatives.
• Recruit, onboard, and support committee members and volunteers while maintaining strong internal communication.
• Liaise with Community Outreach leadership to coordinate resources and support Commission-wide efforts.
