Our vacancies for qualified Auditors are all open to supporting the up-skilling and re-integration of returners to our business.Our Royalty Audit team works with some of the largest global Film & TV producers, as well as international brands across apparel, pharmaceuticals, sport and many more industries. The work involves auditing licensees on behalf of IP owners to ensure our clients are receiving all revenues due. An exciting opportunity to learn more about the Film, TV, Merchandise and Pharma industries, work across different territories and languages, and provide tailored contract-compliance assurance based on agreed-upon-procedures. Some international travel worldwide will be required.A Look into the roleAs Royalty Audit Manager your role will be to take ownership of allocated assignments in a way that meets and exceeds client expectations while taking responsibility for managing and developing employees.Markets

  • Is actively involved in the production and presentation of proposals for new work
  • Is actively involved in marketing events, is an ‘ambassador’ of the firm, is aware of the wide range of services the firm offers
  • Liaises with other departments to maximise client satisfaction

Clients

  • Manages a client portfolio and builds and maintains good working relationships with all colleagues and clients, including regular update meetings
  • Assists the audit manager and partner in establishing audit objectives, identifying areas of risk and overall scope
  • Co-ordinates all aspects of audit planning including scheduling and attending client meetings, internal review requirements and production of planning documents
  • Ensures key matters which arise during the audit which were not identified at the planning stage are properly assessed
  • Co-ordinates and oversees all aspects of audit planning, fieldwork and completion
  • Reviews the work of in-charge accountants including key audit areas and also of office specialists (tax, risk)
  • Addresses high level technical and audit issues ensuring the audit team are able to concentrate on core audit issues
  • Highlights all key issues which may affect the audit to partner
  • Ensures that audit work papers have been properly reviewed and that audit files are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensures that all audit reports reflect the work performed and meet set reporting standards
  • Maintains up to date understanding of clients’ business
  • Addresses concerns regarding audit assignments with audit partner
  • Adheres to the firms risk management policies and procedures, including being familiar with and consulting the audit manual and advising junior staff on application of procedures

People

  • Manages audit teams on specific assignment and understands capacity of team and identifies potential future scheduling risks
  • Motivates and coaches team members and provides feedback through regular communication and timely appraisal whilst being familiar with relevant training and development options
  • Is actively involved in the interview and recruitment processes
  • Maintains understanding of audit methodology
  • Contributes to departmental and office meetings

Operations and Results

  • Controls the audit in relation to timescales and risk management procedures
  • Actively manages portfolio to monitor multiple projects concurrently, focussing on profitability, timely invoicing and overall audit completion
  • Consistently achieves deadlines and understands the commercial implications of actions relating to productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service
  • Accurately records time spent, documents reasons for overruns and assists with or undertakes overrun negotiations
  • Communicates workload with partner

Knowing you’re right for usJoining us as an Audit SManager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is a professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA). It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Experience in dealing with data/ data analytics
  • Project management experience
  • Extensive experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages
