Job description

We’re looking for a talented Audience Development Executive to help grow Mumsnet’s returning audience through email, social media, and notifications. In this role, you’ll play a key part in increasing newsletter sign-ups and engagement, boosting traffic from social platforms, and enhancing desktop notification strategies.Your focus will be on recruiting and retaining users from both internal and external sources, while managing signup messaging and nurturing audience engagement across channels.Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor social media performance metrics, using insights to refine content strategies and improve reach.
  • Manage and optimize desktop notifications to ensure timely and relevant alerts for our audience.
  • Drive newsletter mailing list growth by managing recruitment efforts from internal and external sources.
  • Oversee the management and growth of email series, ensuring the content remains relevant and impactful.
  • Optimize registration and onboarding journeys to maximize active, engaged users and grow our addressable audience.
  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content across social media platforms to drive traffic and boost audience engagement.
  • Support editorial teams by contributing to the creation, review, and curation of engaging, high-quality content for existing email newsletters. Play an integral role in developing content for new email newsletter series, tailoring messaging to resonate with target audiences and align with brand identity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media and notification strategies with broader business goals.

Requirements

  • Audience Insights and User Experience: An interest in understanding audience behaviours, preferences, and journeys to learn how to tailor campaigns effectively.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: A strong understanding of email marketing, social media platforms, and notification strategies, including tools and analytics, is crucial.
  • Content Creation Skills: The ability to create engaging, high-quality content for email newsletters, social platforms, and other digital channels.
  • Project Management: A focus on building organizational and multitasking skills to effectively manage email campaigns, social media schedules, and desktop notification strategies.
  • Data Analysis and Optimisation: An enthusiasm for learning how to analyse performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, and engagement rates) and applying insights to enhance campaigns.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with editorial teams and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with brand tone across all channels.
  • Trend Awareness: Staying updated on digital marketing trends, social media developments, and emerging notification technologies to incorporate fresh approaches.
