As an Associate, United Academy Training – Bilingual (French/English) at United Rentals, your primary responsibility is to support all aspects of United Academy’s field operating procedures and sales processes with the objective of generating incremental revenue through lead generation and conversion.

*This position would be in Quebec, Canada or Charlotte; must be able to speak French*

What you’ll do:

  • Successfully close leads received through phone calls email, or self-generated

  • Identify and generate new business through the use of sales and marketing tools

  • Call on lost and/or dormant accounts to generate business

  • Call on customers for recertification purposes

  • Learn accurate use of United Rentals’ computer systems for quotes, sales, booking, and territory management

  • Coordinate with all United Academy departments (to include National Accounts) to support the delivery of training purchased to new and existing customers including but not limited to training availability across regions, creating quotes, scheduling the trainer’s calendars, and special requests

  • Work with customers to create new corporate accounts in United Academy

  • Coordinate blended training requests with branch level certified evaluators

  • Educate customers on equipment training offered through United Academy and other aspects of the UA value proposition

  • Negotiate prices on training packages in accordance with training pricing policies and procedures

  • Serve as the assigned regions and National Accounts single point of contact for training requests

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months’ work in Inside Sales, or one year experience in a sales-related role required

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Sufficient computer experience that will allow incumbent to learn United Rental’s proprietary systems.

  • 1 year experience using Microsoft Office

  • Proven, strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • RentalMan experience preferred

  • Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills

  • Established independent worker and self-starter required

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation, planning, problem-solving and organizational skills required

  • Ability to multitask

UA TRAINING ASSOCIATE – IN FRENCH

En tant qu’associé ou associée de formation United Academy chez United Rentals, votre principale responsabilité est d’appuyer tous les aspects des procédures commerciale et d’exploitation sur le terrain, avec pour objectif la génération de profits supplémentaires grâce au ciblage et à la conversion de nouveaux clients.

Responsabilités complémentaires (liste non exhaustive) :

  • Convertir les clients potentiels au téléphone, par courriel ou par d’autres méthodes autonomes

  • Identifier et générer de nouvelles affaires par l’utilisation d’outils commerciaux et de marketing

  • Appeler les clients perdus ou inactifs pour générer de l’activité

  • Appeler les clients qui ont besoin d’une nouvelle certification

  • Apprendre à correctement utiliser les systèmes informatiques d’United Rentals : devis, ventes, réservations et gestion des régions géographiques

  • Travailler en collaboration avec les autres services United Academy (y compris les comptes nationaux) dans le cadre des formations achetées par les nouveaux clients et clients existants, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter, les formations disponibles par région, la préparation de devis, la gestion des calendriers des formateurs et les demandes spéciales

  • Travailler avec les clients à la création de nouveaux comptes d’entreprise dans United Academy

  • Coordonner les demandes de formation mixtes avec les évaluateurs certifiés à l’échelle de la succursale

  • Sensibiliser les clients aux formations à l’équipement dispensées par United Academy et d’autres aspects de la proposition de valeur UA

  • Négocier les prix des forfaits de formation conformément aux politiques et procédures tarifaires en vigueur

  • Servir de point de communication central pour les demandes de formation des régions et des comptes nationaux

  • Effectuer d’autres tâches attribuées sur les ordres du ou de la responsable hiérarchique directe

Exigences du poste :

  • Minimum obligatoire de six mois d’expérience commerciale interne ou d’un an d’expérience dans un poste commercial

  • Permis de conduire en cours de validité

  • Suffisamment de connaissances en informatique pour pouvoir apprendre à se servir des systèmes exclusifs d’United Rentals

  • Un an d’expérience avec Microsoft Office

  • Compétences interpersonnelles, de présentation et de communication fortes et avérées

  • Expérience de RentalMan souhaitée

  • Compétences avérées en vente et en négociation

  • Attitude autonome établie avec un grand sens de l’autogestion

  • Approche et compétences tournées vers le service à la clientèle, la planification, la résolution des problèmes et l’organisation

  • Aptitude à gérer plusieurs tâches à la fois
