It’s exciting!In the role of Associate Director, Sales for Government, Public Sector and Non-Profit Accounts, you will be responsible for leading large sales engagements across our portfolio of NielsenIQ measurement solutions to our existing and new government vertical clients, and for expanding the business across this client sector. This role will pioneer the development of commercial strategies to renew and achieve new business, building meaningful client relationships, and ultimately closing deals. The successful candidate will join an expanding team of 30+ high performing and high energy associates. This fast-paced team is excited to have a new member join our group to build on the momentum we have established and deliver against lofty but attainable growth goals.Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the International Director to drive sales of NielsenIQ solutions to key European markets & European Union Institutions
  • Achieving sales and commercial objectives by clearly articulating NielsenIQ’s value proposition and use cases to decision makers specific to the product portfolio of responsibility
  • Building meaningful client relationships with client stakeholders and teams
  • Represent the voice of the customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications and delivery teams
  • Working collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross functional partners
  • Achieving sales quota consistent with NielsenIQ margin goals and delivery expectations
  • Generate sales leads and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities across a portfolio of government clients consistent with NielsenIQ’s growth strategy
  • Accurately forecasting sales pipeline, areas of growth, areas of risk and prioritize to close sales consistent with sales cycle norms
  • Ability to weave client specific insights, industry material and thought leadership information into client conversations to build context and clarity to the outcomes our solutions can deliver
  • Own cross-functional relationships and be a subject matter expert for your accounts and partners in a fast-paced environment

  • 6+ years’ experience selling to Government, Public Sector to include EU Institutions
  • Previous experience working in the areas of data & market measurement
  • Deep knowledge how data can provide critical evidence and insight to this client sector
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, understand their needs and priorities
  • Demonstrated success in driving new business and achieving high level sales results
  • Experienced in scoping and developing government and public sector tenders, proposals, and negotiation strategies
  • Excellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications and platforms a plus
  • Preferably French speaking with excellent business English, Italian a plus

  • Location: Germany, and other European locations will be considered
  • Employees can work hybrid (flexible office & remote work)
  • Travel: 20%
