Job Posting Title: Associate Media and Art Pipeline Developer (Project Hire/Internal Assignment)Req ID: 10108337Job Description:About the Role & TeamWalt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research arm of The Walt Disney Company’s Parks and Resorts business segment. Representing more than 130 subject areas, the talented Imagineers are responsible for the creation of Disney resorts, theme parks and attractions, hotels, water parks, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, cruise ships and new media technology projects.The Associate Media & Art Pipeline Developer will assist with programming tasks and technical responsibilities within the Walt Disney Imagineering Technology Studio. The Technology Studio is a group of technologists working within Imagineering to build and deploy software and software/hardware integration tools to help increase the capabilities of Imagineering art and design practice.This position will report to the Media and Art Pipeline Manager.This position is a Project Hire/Internal Assignment with no guarantee of permanent placement.What You Will DoPerform digital pipeline tools development for 3D content creation including theme-park visualizations, animated animatronic animations, ride vehicles, simulated projectors, and other complex show elementsTroubleshoot and support previously built software products and/or proof-of-conceptsEngage with designers and artists to better support them and gather new requirementsRequired Qualifications & Skills1-2 years experience working in VFX/Digital Art Pipeline and/or Video game pipelineAutodesk Maya and/or MotionBuilder scripting and API (C++/Python/OpenMaya API) development experienceProgramming proficiency in both higher-level scripting languages such as Python and lower-level compiled languages such as C/C++3D math skills and computer graphics programming experience (OpenGL/DirectX)Unreal (general, asset workflow / basic blueprints) experienceExperience working with Windows systemsPreferred QualificationsVirtual Reality experience in both content development and/or systems developmentGame engine development (game logic, plugin, core engine) experienceCAD software (SolidWorks, REVIT, Rhino or equivalent)Shotgrid ExperienceUI/UX prototyping or programming experience and/or tools (PyQt, Qt, Wx, CSS)Web programming (HTML5/CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, Ruby on Rails, Django)Ability to learn new APIs and SDKs quicklyAnimation RiggingFamiliarity with USDFamiliarity with REZShader programming experience (GLSL/HLSL/Cg)Knowledge of 3D/2D content creation software (Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder, SolidWorks, Houdini, Substance Painter, etc.)EducationBachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Interactive Media or similar field.Additional InformationThis role is located onsite in Celebration, FL.Benefits and Perks:Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
