Achieve your ambitions – join us at JLL.We are looking for an Associate Director for the new EV & Integrated Energy Solutions EMEA product line within the Sustainability Consulting Services Business line.Our services begin with helping clients to define compelling visions, create leading strategies and develop challenging targets. We then partners with our clients through implementation, ensuring that the vision and strategies that were developed are realised in their intent through world class implementation and risk management.To support our team’s ambitions, we are looking to make a new hire at Associate Director level, to be part of our team.Working with high profile clients, this job will provide you the opportunity to develop and implement integrated energy solutions in the real estate space. This will include onsite power generation, storage and distribution and applying these to EV charging solutions and fleet electrification programs. The role will involve developing and delivering strategies to:

  • deploy EV charging services for investors/landlords and tenant/occupiers in residential, workplace and retail use cases, and
  • electrify (high utilisation) commercial fleets of tenants/occupiers in industrial & logistics
  • deploy local decarbonized power generation, in combination with distribution and potentially storage,
  • make compelling investment cases and developing pragmatic, cost effective and scalable solutions for stakeholders

In addition, you will leverage the experience gained in implementing and operating these technologies and services to advice investors and portfolio managers in assessing the investment potential of integrated energy solutions deployment in their portfolio of assets.To achieve this you will also work together with colleagues from Energy Services, Project Delivery Services, Facility Management Services and Valuations Services.Our expectation is that you are as passionate about sustainability, renewable energy generation, distribution and storage technologies and applying them to the electrification of land transport as we are; that you are committed to always exceeding your clients’ expectations and that you are able to demonstrate your excellent strategic thinking, team-working, communication, analytical and project management skills.What this job involvesThe role will entail winning and delivering projects to design and implement integrated energy and EV charging strategies/policies for owners and occupiers in retail, workplace, residential and logistics asset classes. This includes:

  • Business development of Integrated Energy Solutions services, growing the offering and client base
  • Contribution to continuous reporting and measurement of project metrics and to the development of internal systems
  • Project management of the delivery of client projects, ensuring a professional relationship and the effective delivery of sustainability services to time and budget
  • Building strong working relationships with client sustainability teams
  • Being able to sensitively challenge clients, through providing insights, future trends, and articulating the value of sustainability to businesses, with an understanding of future value creation.
  • Oversight of team members in the development and delivery of strategic and implementation projects
  • Working in a rigorous manner to deliver accurate, high quality, engaging and client-ready outputs
  • Contributing to Sustainability Consultancy’s information and knowledge management systems
  • Supporting the professional development of junior colleagues, including line management opportunities

Sound like you? To apply you need to be/have:

  • Passionate about sustainability, and specifically about Electric Vehicles, electricity markets, microgrids, decarbonized power generation and storage and related technologies
  • Relevant academic degree and/or masters or equivalent work experience – e.g. science, technology and engineering with significant exposure to commercial decision making
  • Proven track record and minimum 10 years of experience in developing and implementing ambitious business improvement, innovation, and/or technology implementation strategies and programmes either from a consultancy or in-house perspective
  • Experience in developing and implementing EV charging services and/or fleet electrification programmes with ideally a consultancy background is preferred, but not a must
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to network and build strong client and internal relationships
  • Exceptional project management experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ideally experience developing holistic solutions in a business context
  • Excellent team-working, and ability to mentor, manage and inspire your colleagues
  • Flexible, hard-working and able to multi-task with ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent computer and information system skills; in particular Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
