Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Insights & Analytics (I&A) Team within Vertex International has evolved from a reporting function to a strategic capability that drives data-driven decision-making and commercial success. Our team plays a pivotal role in delivering robust, forward-looking forecasts that guide strategic planning, resource allocation, and business growth.We are seeking a lead for the Commercial Forecasting Haematology (HEME) team who will own, enhance, and report the forecasting across International Markets. The role of International Forecasting & Analytics Associate Director – HEME is to lead the forecasting process and reporting for the International HEME organisation and be a strong advisor to commercial leadership. This person will provide quantitative and qualitative forecasting and analytical insights and partner with the business to advance HEME success, working closely with the local commercial, finance, marketing and Supply Chain functions.The individual reports to the Director of International I&A, and will be based in Paddington, London.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and Lead the Forecasting ProcessProvide a high degree of support for the monthly forecasting process, which focuses on the current year and the following year, and aims to forecast our future performance by modelling the local underlying variables and drivers.Provide a high degree of support for the annual global long-range planning (LRP) process for the global HEME forecast, which plays a key role in strategic and tactical planning.Deliver robust quantitative market assessments with a clear articulation of the key drivers, sensitivities, risks and opportunities.Support for analytics activities will vary but may include ownership of parts of the process, or support through ad hoc analyses.Forecast Communication and ReportingTranslate complex forecast outputs into clear, strategic narratives for senior leadership, supporting decision-making and commercial strategy.Develop impactful reports and dashboards to communicate insights in a concise, actionable manner.Co-Lead, along with the Director of I&A, the presentation to senior management, highlighting the key drivers of our performance and our forecast and outlook projections.Cross-Functional CollaborationLead the cross-functional collaboration during the monthly forecast & LRP process to collect and integrate inputs and forecast demand across all markets.Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Marketing, Global Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Supply Chain and Marketing Science.Continuous Improvement & Forecasting ExcellenceDevelop, conduct, synthesize, and present performance analytics and commercial insights regularly using the existing data, ensuring the quality of output and recommendations is timely and business-relevant.Implement best practices, automation, modelling, and process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, equipping teams with the tools and knowledge to enhance forecast quality.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, biotech, operations, demand planning, or related discipline with extensive years of experience working in data analysis and insights generationPrevious experience in Biotech/Pharma/Med Device industry is highly valuedStrong analytical and modelling mindset; demonstrated analytical approach to understand the impact of the way data and reporting is interpreted and utilized for decision-makingInnovative and flexible approach – thrive to find solutions outside the boxDeep proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions and pivot tables) and PowerPointA foundation in statistical concepts incl. regression, significance testing, correlation vs. causation, etcStrong understanding of data modelsFamiliarity with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, etc.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize the workload of the team.#LI-hybrid #LI-SG-1Flex Designation: Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site EligibleFlex Eligibility Status:In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
