Commercial Lead Building Surveyor (Associate)LondonUp to £90,000 + Bonus + BenefitsCarriera’s Building Surveying team have been retained to support the growth of a leading firm of Chartered Surveyors, within their London HQ, with the appointment a number of strategic hires. This role is a crucial hire for the Partners within the team, who are seeking a punchy and dynamic individual to spearhead and drive forward the private sector Building Surveying offering of the team.The company are exceptional in their public sector delivery, and incredibly profitable as a result. The plan, therefore, is to emulate this model, within the commercial, industrial, high end residential and retail space. There is a very established team already in situ to support with day-to-day delivery, so this role is very much strategic; involving business development, management of juniors and key client accounts.The Role:As the Private Sector Division Lead, you will spearhead commercial Building Surveying services, driving growth and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to take ownership of a key business area, leading a talented team and working with a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients.Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with private sector clients, identify new business opportunities, and develop tailored proposals that align with client needs and objectives.
• Lead and manage commercial building surveys, including overseeing site inspections, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports.
• Mentor and develop junior surveyors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Ensure the team is equipped with the latest technical knowledge and best practices.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the private sector division, keeping abreast of market trends and innovating service offerings.

About You:

• Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent) with substantial experience in the private sector, particularly in commercial building surveying.
• Proven track record in business development, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive profitable growth.
• Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
• Extensive knowledge of building construction, pathology, and relevant legislation.
