Position Summary:
Stream fishes are among the most imperiled vertebrates, and lotic ecosystems face growing challenges related to water use, land-use change, nonnative species, disturbance, changing climate, and expanding human populations. To address these challenges, we seek candidates who can develop a locally to internationally recognized multidisciplinary research program addressing the complexities of sustaining stream fishes and their ecosystems. Essential Duties:
Research and scholarly activity
• Establish an internationally recognized program of externally funded research and scholarly activity, including support for graduate students and mentoring of undergraduate students.
Teaching
• Teach an undergraduate course in fish conservation (FW 400) and other undergraduate or graduate course(s) based on Departmental needs and area of expertise.
Service and Outreach
• Participate in professional and university service and outreach activities.
