This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Nationwide Home Product Team. We’re looking for a driven individual to work as an Assistant Product Manager working on our Owner Occupied Mortgages Proposition.We are looking for a candidate who wants to build a career in a fantastic team who are responsible for ensuring good customer outcomes by supporting a range of product lifecycle, risk, reporting and governance activities.We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35.At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible.   • You’ll be working on a variety of mortgage activities in a fast-paced environment, helping to co-ordinate activity amongst stakeholders whilst balancing customer and business needs to recommend the right proposal.
  • You’ll be supporting risk meeting pack collation, ensuring deadlines are met and the collateral is of a consistently high standard.
  • You’ll be supporting various Product Lifecycle Management activities for Home Mortgages especially with regards to the expectations under Consumer Duty.
  • You’ll also help drive continuous improvement and good customer outcomes through the various policy, process, risk and control governance activities required of the business area, which includes systems inputting.

About youThe minimum requirements for the role are:

  • Good relationship builder who is able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload in order to meet tight timescales.
  • Able to demonstrate both a customer focus and a business mindset, which not only identifies the potential customer impact, but also the commercial, risk and operational factors.
  • Has the ability to identify challenges and develop solutions through market and customer insight, commercial awareness, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand information quickly and to apply well-reasoned and balanced judgement in arriving at a decision.
  • Confidence in presenting information to the wider team both verbally and in writing.
