This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our dynamic, patient focussed service in Tayside.Based in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, we are a Combined Unit providing both a Screening and Symptomatic Breast Imaging Service which also has close links to the University of Dundee Breast Research Team.The successful candidate will work as part of a team of radiographers and assistant practitioners to provide a screening and symptomatic imaging service to people living in Tayside, Angus, NE Fife and parts of Perthshire. This post will involve travelling to mobile screening vans. The post holder will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from the mobile van locations.Your primary role will be to perform Screening Mammograms and partake in Quality Assurance in both the static centre and on mobile units. Full training at the Scottish Academy of Breast Imaging (SABI) will be provided. You will also assist and chaperone Consultant Radiologists and Radiographers in ultrasound and biopsy procedures, whilst providing an excellent level of care to our clients. You will have good communication and organisation skills, be able to show initiative and work independently.This post requires membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
