Through this support, the Assistant contributes to the delivery of high quality and safe services and to the protection of Island Health and its Medical Staff.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceGrade 12 plus additional related course work in office or business administration and three (3) years’ related experience in a large complex organization, preferably in a clinical program/portfolio.
Link to Full Job DescriptionAdditional information for applicantsWe’re hiring a Governance Assistant to join the Medical Staff HR Planning and Governance team. You’ll work alongside two Governance Coordinators who support HAMAC and its subcommittees, and two other Assistants providing administrative support to Department Heads and Chiefs of Staff. In this role, you’ll help ease the administrative burden for medical leaders, allowing them to focus on their leadership responsibilities. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team while independently building strong relationships with the leaders you support. This position offers meaningful work and the option to work from home. The salary range for this position is $48,476 (minimum) to $54,535 (midpoint) to $63,62 (maximum) per annum (based on 1 FTE). Salary placement will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
