Assistant Restaurant Manager – Authentic Italian Restaurant, CheltenhamCheltenham | Full-time | £32,500 + Tronc | Career ProgressionAn exciting opportunity has opened up at one of Cheltenham’s most talked-about new openings — a stylish and authentic Italian restaurant offering elevated hospitality in a warm, welcoming setting. Following the huge success of its sister site, this independent venue is gaining strong momentum and now seeks a talented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team.What You’ll Do:As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering a premium guest experience rooted in genuine Italian hospitality. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Overseeing smooth and professional service across lunch and dinnerManaging the booking system, including private dining and corporate eventsSupporting the General Manager with team training, development, and moraleLeading by example with warm, knowledgeable, and attentive serviceWorking closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service flowWhat We’re Looking For:Experience in a similar front-of-house management or supervisory roleA love for Italian food, culture, and service styleStrong organisational and guest-facing skillsComfortable managing private hire, special bookings, and guest relationshipsWine knowledge and enthusiasm for food pairings (WSET not required)A proactive, professional and personable leader who thrives in a busy, dynamic settingWhat We Offer:£32,500 starting salaryTronc on top – 12.5% service charge shared across the team, including managers45–46 hours/week over 5 days, with 2 days offShort breaks during shifts – no long or traditional split shiftsClear pathway to Restaurant Manager and future senior rolesSupportive and tight-knit team culture – no egos, just great hospitalityGrowth opportunities – this is the second site, with a third already in planningInvolvement in private events, wine service, and bookingsAbout the Group:This growing independent restaurant group is committed to delivering thoughtful, consistent, and elevated hospitality.
