Location: Central Durham
Full-Time | Tuesday–Sunday (flexible hours)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefitsAbout the VenuesThis is an opportunity to join two independent, chef-led restaurants in the heart of Durham:One offers a seasonal, modern British tasting menu in a relaxed fine dining setting and is featured in the Michelin Guide.The other delivers vibrant brunches, sharing plates, and standout Sunday roasts in a more casual yet quality-focused space.Both venues are rooted in creativity, local support, and high standards.The RoleWe’re seeking a proactive and experienced Manager or Assistant Manager who can confidently lead day-to-day FOH operations at one or both sites. You’ll play a key part in maintaining consistency, training the team, and running service smoothly—especially when senior leadership is based at the other venue.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the FOH team during busy service periodsEnsure exceptional guest experience and strong operational flowManage bookings, table planning, and daily adminHandle stock control and supplier communicationsTake ownership and lead confidently in the absence of senior managementHelp maintain high standards across both restaurantsIdeal CandidatePrevious experience in a similar role (restaurant management or assistant management)Confident leading service and running shifts independentlyA passion for hospitality with strong guest-facing skillsWine knowledge or a strong interest in developing itAdaptability to work across both a refined and relaxed dining environmentOrganised, calm, and a natural team motivatorWhat’s on OfferA salary of up to £35,000 per year, depending on experienceFlexible working hours within a Tuesday–Sunday service weekGenuine autonomy and a valued voice in the businessOpportunity to work across two distinct, high-quality conceptsStaff discounts, holidays, and room to growApply Now
