About the Integrated Program in the Environment (IPE):
The Integrated Program in the Environment (IPE) is an interdisciplinary community at IU dedicated to advancing environmental education, research, leadership, and outreach. It is a joint program between the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Policy, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Public Health. IPE collaborates across schools, academic departments, research centers, and community organizations to provide innovative and impactful environmental programs and degree pathways. IPE shares the belief that all people deserve to live in sustainable and thriving communities, and that collaboration among individuals with diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skills leads to more vibrant and sustainable solutions to meet the pressing global challenges that we face today.
The Assistant Director will play a key role in the administration and strategic development of IPE, working closely with the IPE Director, faculty, students, and staff to support programmatic initiatives and student engagement.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
