What You’ll Do
Prune: Evaluate tree health and safely prune young to mature trees using aerial lifts, rope & saddle, chainsaws, pole saws, and hand tools.
Remove: Safely remove mature trees near traffic, pedestrians, and structures using ropes, pulleys, and slings to lower large limbs/logs.
Stumping: Read utility locate markings, set up safety shields, and grind stumps with large stump grinders.
Planting: Properly and efficiently plant bare root and balled & burlapped trees and shrubs.
Landscape Maintenance: Prune trees/shrubs, plant and maintain perennials, edge beds, clean up leaves, fertilize, mulch, weed, and apply herbicides.
Snow/Ice Removal: Plow and salt City buildings, parking lots, walks, and streets using trucks, loaders, skid loaders, and tractors.
What You Bring
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
High school diploma or equivalent
Up to two years of arborist or tree care experience
Valid WI driver’s license and acceptable driving record per City Policy
Ability to obtain WI Commercial Driver’s License within 1 year of hire
