Applications Specialist – – Windows – SQL – London.This position is also a project based position focused on major applications and new innovations being delivered across the business. The client will also offer flexible working. Highly successful technology driven asset manager seeks to hire an Applications Specialist for their team in London. The client is one of the most reputable Wealth Managers in the market and is renowned for their technology investment, career development and giving technologist’s exposure to the markets working closely with front-office users.The Applications Specialist will:

• Work as part of applications project based team
• Design and build changes to new and existing applications – applications installations, server setups
• Undertake analysis and IT security assessments as part of the applications projects team
• Coordinate with IT teams to deliver application changes that impact, server, network, DBA, testing and operational teams.
• Resolve and manage application change requests
• Maintain application environments and work with live product support teams
• Work closely with 3rd party vendors to plan application road maps
• Coordination of application releases and changes

The Applications Specialist will need to have:

• At least 5 years commercial application support experience
• Worked ideally within financial services industry
• Experience of change, release and environment management
• Experience working within Windows operating systems domain
• Strong knowledge of application ecosystems – installation, desktops, networks, databases, servers, IIS, Security
• Strong SQL database experience – SQL queries, stored procedures
• Experience working within Agile / Waterfall environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects and liaise with senior business stakeholders
