Job Title: Ansible/OpenShift Automation Engineer 100% remote
Duration: 6 Months contract potential to hire

The key priority is to find resources with strong expertise in implementing and supporting (not simply using) OpenShift. Candidates should also have experience with Ansible development, and some familiarity with system administration, and infrastructure as described below.
Required Skills (Must-Haves):
- Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) expertise
- OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x installation, upgrades, configuration, and operations
- Ansible Collections, playbooks, roles, and custom module development
- Python and Bash or PowerShell scripting
- Helm v3 chart development and management
- CI/CD and GitOps experience (Argo CD, GitOps Operator, OpenShift Pipelines, Jenkins/GitLab)
- Bare metal provisioning, networking, and storage knowledge • Ability to deploy OpenShift in mission-critical environments
Preferred Skills (Nice to have): • KubeVirt experience • Windows VM provisioning and virtualization drivers • Rundeck automation orchestration experience • OpenShift Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) • OpenShift GitOps integration experience • Ceph/ODF storage troubleshooting experience • OVN-K and SR-IOV networking experience
Desired Experience:
- 6+ years of professional IT experience focused on Ansible automation and OpenShift
- Experience building Ansible Collections for OpenShift
- Experience deploying OpenShift in mission-critical environments
- Experience with enterprise container platforms and automation engineering
Deliverables/Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain reusable Ansible Collections, playbooks, roles, and modules • Engineer OpenShift Container Platform environments • Integrate Ansible automation with ACM and GitOps tooling • Build and maintain Helm charts and GitOps manifests • Provision and configure Windows VM workloads using KubeVirt • Author runbooks, SOPs, technical documentation, cluster diagrams, and security checklists • Troubleshoot OpenShift, networking, storage, and automation issues • Develop system administration jobs and runbooks in Bash or Python
