Remote Employment – Approved for hybrid flexibility up to 2 days per week, at the discretion of the hiring manager.

As the Anadromous Resources Co-Management Analyst, you will serve as the scientific expert responsible for developing and implementing Tribal-State management plans that ensure the conservation and sustainable harvest of anadromous salmon and steelhead resources across the state.
In this complex and dynamic role, you’ll lead the development of resource management plans for Washington’s steelhead and salmon populations in collaboration with Washington State Tribes.
With your knowledge and experience, you will navigate complex scientific, conservation, and legal challenges while negotiating fisheries management strategies, hatchery production plans, and stock assessment initiatives to ensure sustainable stewardship for these species.

Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Anadromous Resources Co-Management Analyst will,
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work Setting, including hazards: Work is typically conducted in an office or meeting group setting.
Schedule: Typically, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – seasonal evening and weekend work may be needed.
Travel Requirements: Travel is expected to participate in the Pacific Salmon Commission, Pacific Fishery Management Council, and Agency’s North of Falcon salmon season setting process. Travel to other fishery management meetings, conferences, and/or workshops are also expected periodically.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree with major study in a natural science (Fish Science, Fish Management, Biology, etc.).
AND
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience in the area of natural resources.
Competencies:
Please Note: Closely related qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-by-year basis.
Certifications: Valid State Driver’s License.
