• Orange Business dives into restoration of the coral reefs with Tēnaka:
  In order to monitor the effects of coral restoration programs, we are designing, implementing and monitoring a fish diversity counting system using Computer Vision.
• Our customer Sappi, a global pulp and paper company, requested our help to significantly reduce energy costs and offer capacity in energy balancing markets on a daily basis. You could join the team creating, deploying and optimizing multiple forecasting algorithms.
• “Talk with your RFP” is an internal tool, using Generative AI, developed to build upon and leverage past RFP answers to create better and faster answers to new RFPs.

What You’ll Do:
All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with

As an AI Engineer intern, you will support the development of an AI-powered application by focusing on data preprocessing, retrieval pipeline design, and integration with state-of-the-art AI models. This role will involve working with cloud-based environments, specifically on Azure, and contributing to the foundational components that enable our AI solution to deliver high-quality results.

Data collection & preprocessing:

• Gather and preprocess datasets, including code files, for Azure storage.

Metadata extraction & chunking:

• Extract key metadata from code files.
• Split files into manageable chunks while preserving context.

Embedding generation & retrieval pipeline:

• Generate vector embeddings for data chunks using pre-trained models.
• Design and optimize the retrieval pipeline for user queries.

Model Integration & Prompt Flow:

• Integrate AI models with prompt flows to process user inputs.
• Experiment with prompt engineering to improve AI-generated answers.

Evaluation & Feedback:

• Develop evaluation scripts to measure key metrics.
• Implement mechanisms to collect and integrate user feedback.

Collaboration in Azure Environment:

• Work within Azure, leveraging AI services to build and test solutions

Your technical expertise:

• Familiarity with machine learning or AI concepts:
  MLOPs: Deployment & Monitoring of AI models at scale
  Techniques and algorithms: Understanding of basic principles of NLP and techniques relevant to generative AI models. Understanding of the architecture and operation of LLMs and their applications.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model integration.
• Cloud Data Platforms: Experience with Cloud platform, preferably Azure
• Version control tools: Good knowledge (e.g., Git).
