DescriptionThe starting salary for this role is £16,256 per annum (pro rata to £32,512 FTE), based on an 18-hour working week.We are hiring a new Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant (SOTA) to join our fantastic Tandridge Locality Team. This will be a part time, permanent post. The team is based in Oxted, but following your probation period, there is also the opportunity to complete some of your working hours from home, or another appropriate location for a more flexible working pattern.Rewards and Benefits
About the TeamWe are a locality team based in the East of Surrey. We have a wealth of knowledge and varied experience within our team and are well known for the supportive approach we have towards our team members. We have a combined duty team of occupational therapists and social care practitioners that manage all new enquiries and requests for assessment, as well as any new concerns for people we already support to ensure they are safe.The duty team is currently on rotation and most people cover this on weekly rota basis. There is always an Assistant Team Manager covering duty each day, to guide practice and decision making to ensure appropriate triage regarding the priority and complexity of cases.About the roleWithin our team we work with adults with varying cognitive and physical impairments. This also includes working with paid and informal carers, family members, and multi-disciplinary professionals. Our day to day role is to assess people’s functional ability within their home environment.Senior Occupational Therapy Assistants hold a caseload of individuals and carers that require occupational therapy input.
