The Opportunity:Company, Department: NS Power, Power Generation VP T&CSLocation: Halifax, NSClosing Date: February 28, 2025We are looking for an Administrative Assistant IV to join our Enterprise Asset Management team. Reporting to the Director, you will join a team of over 60 engineering and technical professionals at our head office and our generating stations. Key elements of this role include::Key elements of this role include:

  • Provide support for cost center budget development and tracking,
  • Maintain SharePoint sites, word processing, spreadsheet development and prepare presentations
  • Manage calendars and e-mail
  • Process invoices for payment
  • Payroll entry
  • Safety program coordination and other general administrative support duties.
  • Must be available to support emergency power restoration outside of regular business hours if called upon.

  • Minimum of Grade XII education and a recognized Administration and/or Business Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Three (3) years of administrative support experience.
  • Proficiency with various software applications including Excel, Word, Power Point, Oracle, and PeopleSoft is also required.
  • PowerPlan experience as well as experience with finance/accounting and budgeting/budget management is considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed-oriented individual, working to a high standard with good judgement and the ability to work with confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills are required.
  • A commitment to personal development would be an asset in this role.
